Coaches: Mr. Wight, Miss. Cairns
Congradualtions to the Yale Track and Field team on an outstanding showing June 4th and 5th at the BC High School Track and Field Championships. All thirteen athletes - Albert Chau, Aiden Park, Austin Thiessen, Spencer Loughlin, Amber Wilson, Alexis Kreig, Chantel Desch, Keeley Thompson, Erica Van Ginkel, Mike Crivello, A.J. Griffiths, Marc Forcier, and Daniel Poleshuk came up with lifetime best performances when in counted. Highlights include Chantel Desch in the women's 400, improving her personal best time by over a second and a half to finish in 6th place. Spencer Loughlin improved his time in the grade 8/9 category of the 200 meters, just squeaking into the final, only to beat three more competitors in the final to finish 5th in the province. Mike Crivello finished 8th in the men's100 meters, and 6th in the men's 200, also posting massive personal best performances in the process. Mike also anchored the men's 4 x 100 relay team of himself, A.J. Griffiths, Marc Forcier and Daniel Poleshuk to an 8th place finish. Congradualtions all. Full Results: General Information:
Success comes from commitment and hard work. We your coaches will give our best to help you achieve success. In return, you will be expected to commit and give your best effort. Although track and field consists mainly of individual events, it is still a team sport. As such, “team” will always come before “I”. Our goal, like any other team here at the school, is to represent Yale to the best of our ability. Practice Schedule Mondays: General Conditioning / Relays - Everyone must attend Tuesdays: Technical: All throwers and/or jumpers must attend. Runners optional. Wednesdays: Specific running: all runners must attend. Jumpers and throwers optional. Thursdays: Extra practice if called by the coach.

Anyone is welcome to join, or to come out and train at any and all practices. However if you want to represent Yale at competitions, you must be at every mandatory practice and be available for all competitions. In rare circumstances, if an athlete wants to compete for Yale on another team (eg. Rugby) during track season,
