Junior Girls Get Bye (Feb. 15, 2010) |
The junior girls basketball team won the Abby-Mission zone playoff with a big win over Mouat earning them a bye in the first round of the valley playoffs. As the #4 seed, they will wait for the winner of Monday's game and will see their first action on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 6:00 pm at Mission against either Semi or Abby. A win Tuesday puts them into the championship round on the weekend. Good luck.

Juniors Move Into Valley Play (Feb. 15, 2010) |
After finishing a disappointing 4th in the Abby-Mission playoffs, the boys move into Valley play as the #12 seed. They are in action Monday, Feb. 15, 6:00 pm at Walnut Grove against #21 seeded Southridge. A win tonight puts them against #5 Walnut Grove on Tuesday, 7:30 pm. Good luck boys.

Senior Girls Advance (Feb. 15, 2010) |

The Senior girls basketball team defeated Walnut Grove 72-35 to advance the Fraser Valley Championships. They play tonight (Monday, Feb. 15), 6:00 pm at Riverside Secondary against the #6 seeded Centennial Centaurs. The Lions enter the week with a #11 seeding and hope to start the week with an upset win. Good luck girls. The Jr. Girls basketball team defeated the Abby Christian Knights last night in the Abby-Mission semi-final game. The girls are in finals Saturday 1:30 at SJB. Come out and cheer them on!! Good work ladies! |

Junior Boys Drop Semi-Final (Feb. 9, 2010) |
The Junior boys basketball team dropped a close contest to Mission in the Abby-Mission semi-final game last night. Yale was unable to keep the Road Runners off the glass as Mission continued to capitalize on second chance opportunities. Yale battled to the end, but were unable to come back. The boys play for third on Friday, 4:45 at Abby Christian.

Playoff Victories For Junior Boys & Girls (Feb. 4, 2010) |

Congrats to the junior girls basketball team who crushed Abby Collegiate 63- 12 last night in their first playoff game. Jessica Collins led the team in points and rebounds. Kendra Arnold was a thief with 10 steals. Good work ladies! The junior boys won their quarter final game against Abby Traditional 79-59 to advance to the semi-finals on Monday, 6:15pm at Yale. High scorers for Yale were Brodie De St. Remy and Trevor Berge. |

Sr Girls Compete Hard Against Mouat (Feb 3, 2010) |

The Senior girls basketball team fought hard against top ranked WJ Mouat last night at the Lion's Den. Led by Celeste Dick, the Lions kept the game close for 3 quarters. In the end, the strength of the Mouat squad won out with a final score in favour of the visitors 91-71. The Lions play Thursday night at Sardis for their final league game and will start their playoff run next Tuesday in a zone game. The Lions currently sit in fourth place and have their sights set on a berth into the Valley Championships. Good luck. |
