Congratulations to the Junior Golf Team on their win over St. Jean Brebeuf in match play yesterday at Fraser Glen. Our Lions beat their opponents by over 17 strokes. Low scores by Yong Jeong, Kevin Kim and Nick Vulcano, Nick Guenther and Jared Starchuk combined for the victory. Senior Team has a match tomorrow at Sandpiper against Hatzic. Good Luck Lion golfers. |

Yale's Junior Girls Soccer team continued their winning streak with a 6 to 0 win over D.W. Poppy. Four goals were scored in the first half by Jessica Janower, Brianna Loewen, Jessica Collins, and Brianna Mairs. In the second half Kendra Arnold and Jessica Collins added to the socre. Delana Forcier had several aggressive runs down the field , with some strong crosses. Alissa DeGianni, Marleau Brown, Sami Hesketh and Jordyn Chartrand had strong kicks and put pressure on the D.W. Poppy keeper. The girls last league game is this Thursday at Mountain Secondary in Langley. |

Jr A Rugby Defeats Hansen (April 20, 2010) |

Congratulations to the Junior boys A rugby team for defeating Rick Hansen 27-0 yesterday. Try scorers were led by Brodie de St.Remy with two, Spencer Loughlin with two and Max Goldman with one. Akash Deo added a convert. Man of the Match was awarded to Nick Windt for being at all the rucks and making great tackles. |

Sr Rugby Stay Undefeated (April 19, 2010) |

The Sr Boys kept their undefeated season alive and took top spot in the Fraser Valley AAA league with a 30-11 win over Mouat last Thursday. Tries were scored by Matt Bianchini, Jared Johnston, Kris Baranowski, Tyler Barons, and Bryce Hewko. Jared Johnston added a penalty kick and convert. The team takes on Semi this Thursday in White Rock.

Junior Girls Soccer Stay In First (April 16, 2010) |

Yale's Junior Girls Soccer team continues to be in first place with their win over Brookswood yesterday. After a scoreless opening half, Yale scored the only goal, when Jessica Janower set up Brianna Loewen for a well-placed volley into the Brookswood net. There were a lot of scoring chances off the Brookswood keeper and posts. Marleau Brown worked hard in the mid-field initiating several scoring chances. Come cheer the girls on in their next home game, this Tuesday at 3:30. Well done girls! |

Yale's Track Team Shows Well (April 16, 2010) |
It was a triumphant day yesterday for the Yale Track and Field Team at their second meet of the season at Rotary Stadium. Highlights include:
JJ Pankratz - 2nd in the junior boys High jump
Henry Lo - 2nd in senior boys Long jump
Alexis Kreig - 2nd in the gruelling 400 meter hurdles
Jordan Porter - 2nd in the senior boys high jump
Yale finished 1 - 2 in the senior girls 200 thanks to Chantel Desch and Keeley Thompson
Same in the senior boys 200 thanks to Mike Crivello and AJ Griffiths-LeClair.
Performance of the meet must go to Erica VanGinkel's gutsy win in the senior girls 3000 meters. She was neck and neck with her rival the for nearly the entire race only to lay the smack down on her foe with a crushing finishing kick in the last 100 meters. Congradulations to the entire team. |

Junior Rugby Sweep (April 15, 2010) |

Congratulations to the junior boys A & B rugby teamsfor their wins! The A team defeated Abby Collegiate 29-12. Tries were scored by Austin Dhillon, Thomas Choi, Spencer Loughlin and Brodie De St. Remy. Akash Deo made one of his kicks. Man of the Match went to Brodie De St. Remy for his aggressive play and devastating tackles.
The B team beat Mouat 21-12. Try scorers were Connor Abrams, Jesse Worley, Johnny Gilroy, Tristan Siemens and Konnor Mitterer with two. Kyle Van Ek made four converts for the win. |
