Junior Rugby Splits (April 27, 2010) |
Both Junior boys rugby teams played on Monday. The B team had a hard fought loss 35-5 to a much larger team from Walnut Grove. Daniel Combs scored the only try of the game. Congratulations to all Red team players for a good season.
The A team defeated Aldergrove 50-0. Spencer Loughlin had a hat trick and kicked two converts. Other try scoreres were Jimmy Ahn, Elijah Reeves, Max Goldman, Coulson de St Remy, Brodie de St Remy, and Alex Martel. Akash Deo made two converts and was named Man of the Match for his precision passing and strong decision making. |

Rugby 7s This Friday At Yale (April 26, 2010) |
Yale is again hosting the Abbotsford 7s tournament this Friday, April 30 from 10:00 am to 4 pm. Boys and girls teams from Abbotsford Middle and High Schools will be competing for the championship. Come out and support your school.

The Junior A Boys rugby team lost a tough game to Mouat yesterday 30-12. Spencer Loughlin scored Yale’s only two tries, while Akash Deo added one convert. The boys’ next game is on Monday at Aldergrove. |

Strong Finish To League Meet Schedule (April 22, 2010) |
Congratulations to the Yale Track and Field team on an excellent showing at their 3rd meet of the season yesterday at Rotary Stadium. Highlights include: Alexis Kreig: 1st senior girls 100m hurdles Keeley Thompson: 1st Senior Girls 100m Erica Van Ginkel: 1st senior girls 800m A.J Griffiths 2nd boys 100m Mike Crivello 3rd boys 100m
The major highlights were the fun but grueling 4 x 400m relays, with the senior boys team of Daniel Poleshuk, Mike Crivello, Josh Kim and A.J. Griffiths LeClair taking 1st place after a back and forth battle with Mouat. The senior girls team of Keeley Thompson, Erica Van Ginkel, Amber Wilson, and Alexis Kreig taking 2nd in their category. The junior boys team of Albert Chau, Aiden Park, JJ Pankratz and Spencer Loughlin also took 2nd place. Congrats to all |
